JOIN THE ONE CAMPAIGN ON LAZARUS SUNDAY - APRIL 10, 2011

Join The ONE Campaign on Lazarus Sunday on April 10 to speak up and share this inspirational story of transformation for our neighbors on the continent of Africa who are beating back AIDS. We’ve seen great success through programs like PEPFAR and the Global Fund. Now’s the time to give voice to these stories and inspire a further Lazarus Effect.

Get involved and sign up now for Lazarus Sunday at - http://www.one.org/us/onesabbath/lazaruseffect.html.
RSVP by March 1, 8pm (EST)

The Lazarus Effect is a term that everyone from doctors, nurses, teachers, pastors, politicians, businessman and even footballers use to describe what happens when people dying from AIDS get access to life-saving treatments for as little as $0.40 cents a day.

Join the movement to witness a modern-day resurrection in the fight against HIV/AIDS in Africa. Show your group or congregation how this work against AIDS is successful because of the action of people like you who support saving millions of lives in Africa.

Jesus said,"Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me." Matthew 25:40

Bono Africa Project - A Look from the Past and Hope for the Future

I came across these videos that were filmed quite a few years ago, but just uploaded in 2010.

This film was shot during a trip Bono took to Africa (Brian Williams featured it on NBC Nightly News) to advocate for relief efforts there. It features various clinics, hospitals and villages from all over the continent and deals with HIV-Malaria-TB issues, particularly with children. It also shows doctors and nurses who struggle every day to fight against cultural, medical and political obstacles in Africa.

These videos are extremely educational and show real life in Africa with those who have suffered from malaria, TB, HIV and AIDS. It also reminds everyone how much progress has been made since this film was made to help eliminate these diseases in Africa.

Please continue in the fight against these diseases and support programs such as The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, (PRODUCT)RED, and the (RED)Partners.
