(RED) AND ONE'S DIGITAL (2015) QUILT -WORLD AIDS DAY

This World AIDS Day, December 1, 2011, ONE and (RED) are coming together to launch a campaign to help deliver the first AIDS free generation since the virus was discovered 30 years ago. By 2015, we should be able to provide treatment to the 15 million people who need it, drastically reduce new infections, and end the transmission of HIV from mothers to their babies. Together these three milestones could usher in “the beginning of the end of AIDS.”

The (2015) Quilt is a virtual “quilt” of personal expression and action that will allow millions of people from all over the world to join in this effort to deliver an AIDS free generation by 2015. Envisioned as a modern, digital echo of the powerful original AIDS Memorial Quilt, created by The NAMES Project Foundation in 1986 to memorialize and pay tribute to those who lost their lives to AIDS, the (2015) QUILT lets people create a panel that expresses their support for the fight against AIDS and encourages them to make a specific commitment that will help bring about the beginning of the #endofAIDS itself. Create a panel by using the simple online tool available at (www.2015quilt.com)
