I Need Africa More than Africa Needs Me

EDUN LIVE ON CAMPUS

About EdunLIVE on Campus

http://www.edunliveoncampus.com/

EdunLIVE ON CAMPUS {ELOC} is a socially responsible T-shirt customization company. Their mission is to provide sustainable job opportunities in sub-Saharan Africa and to provide hands-on experiential learning of social entrepreneurship. They accomplish these goals by providing students the opportunity to develop a social entrepreneurial venture at their campus where they market and sell our edunLIVE 100% African T-shirts to college students who then create a unique design for their organization.

EdunLIVE t-shirts are “grower to sewer” African which means they are 100% African made- from the growing of the cotton, to the manufacturing of the fabric, to the creation of the t-shirt.

The first EDUN LIVE On Campus chapter was established in 2006 at Miami University and has since added other chapters at University of Notre Dame, Ohio State University, Simmons College, Gonzaga University, Tufts University, Middle Tennessee State University and The College of William & Mary.

EDUN LIVE

About EDUN LIVE

http://www.edun-live.com/

EDUN LIVE is a brand of Organic T-Shirts and Cotton T-Shirts created by Ali Hewson and Bono.

At EDUN LIVE they make T-shirts that support sustainable socioeconomic development.

Put simply, that means that when you buy one of EDUN LIVE shirts, you help them to employ people in Africa who might otherwise be unemployed.

EDUN LIVE work with disenfranchised African citizens, teaching them to grow cotton, sew, and participate in the textile business. EDUN LIVE shirts are made in Africa by Africans. They support communities, give jobs to the jobless, and teach skills to people who lack specialized training.

EDUN LIVE also cares about the environment. A lot. They feature 100% certified organic cotton t-shirts in our product line and make great efforts to help farmers transition from conventional cotton farming to organic farming through our development of the Conservation Cotton Initiative with the Wildlife Conservation Society.

AFRICASH is EDUN LIVE's new referral program. You can earn points good towards FREE t-shirts for doing something as simple as sending a friend of yours our way. To learn more about how to spread the word about EDUN LIVE and earn Africash points go to http://www.edun-live.com/blog.aspx

EDUN

About EDUN

http://www.edunonline.com/

EDUN is a socially conscious clothing company launched in Spring 2005 by Ali Hewson and Bono. The company's mission is to create beautiful clothing while fostering sustainable employment in developing areas of the world, particularly Africa.

EDUN
is a for-profit business founded on the premise of trade, not aid as a means of building sustainable communities. The company works on a micro-level to help build the skill sets of factories where the clothes are produced. EDUN is currently produced in India, Peru, Tunisia, Kenya, Uganda, Lesotho, Mauritius and Madagascar. In addition, EDUN acts as a voice encouraging the fashion community to do business in Africa and thereby help bring the continent out of extreme poverty.

While EDUN's primary focus is trade, we are also working towards using more organic materials in the collection. Organic cotton is not only a responsible environmental solution, but also provides healthier working conditions and is a valuable market opportunity for farmers in Africa. Currently, all of our t-shirts are made from 100% organic cotton.

EDUN is a full fashion collection for men and women, including tops, bottoms, denim, dresses, jackets, knits and sweaters with prices ranging from $36 - $400. The line is sold in leading department stores including Selfridges, Harvey Nichols, Matches (England), Beams and Isetan (Japan), Barneys, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, and Fred Segal (US) as well as selected specialty stores worldwide as well as selected retailers in UK, Italy, France, Japan, and Sweden.

EDUN works with the following non-profits: DATA/ONE, OXFAM, Verité, Global Business Coalition, Organic Exchange, ALAFA, Miami University, MFA Forum, and ComMark.

EDUN'S FOUR RESPECTS

The ONE Campaign and EDUN came together in 2006 to launch the ONE.org T-shirt by EDUN.

2006 and 2007 saw tens of thousands of t-shirts sold, delivering the message to millions of people worldwide that, together, we can help fight global disease and extreme poverty and bring fair trade and AIDS treatment to Lesotho, Africa.

The original ONE shirt created by EDUN - millions standing, united as ONE.

The second design by EDUN for ONE - United for Africa.

About (RED) -

(RED) was created by Bono and Bobby Shriver to raise awareness and money for The Global Fund by teaming up with the world's most iconic brands to produce (PRODUCT) RED-branded products. A percentage of each (PRODUCT) RED product sold is given to The Global Fund, to invest in African AIDS programs, with an emphasis on women and children.

(RED)
is not a charity.
(RED) is not a cause.
(RED) is not a theory.

(RED) is a simple idea that transforms our incredible collective
power as consumers into a financial force to help others in need.
(RED) is where desire meets virtue.

Every time you choose to buy a (RED) product or service, at no extra cost to you,
the company who makes that product will give up to fifty-percent of its profit
to buy and distribute antiretroviral medicine to our brothers
and sisters dying of AIDS in Africa.

The most sought-after brands in the world have become (RED) partners.
American Express, Apple, Converse, Dell, Emporio Armani, Gap, Hallmark,
Microsoft, Starbucks and more have reconized that (RED) is an idea that is right
for their brands, their consumers and the world today.

(RED) is an answer to an emergency. An answer that is working.
In just two years, so many people like you have made the choice to buy (RED)
products, that over 2.5 million African lives have been greatly impacted.

Buy (RED), save lives. It's as simple as that. (RED) Desire and virtue.
Together at last.
